
Volunteers required for:
- Implement a Nutrition Awareness Package covering maternal nutrition, breastfeeding, and complementary feeding to ensure a comprehensive approach to improving dietary practices among targeted communities for children under five and pregnant/lactating women.
- Screen Under 5 children and pregnant and lactating mothers for malnutrition through measuring Mid-Upper Arm circumference, and refer them to appropriate services.
Scope of Volunteering:
The volunteer will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Implement the Awareness Sessions
- measuring Mid-Upper Arm circumference
- Data Collecting – Breaks Distribution
Expected Deliverables:
– Pass the TOT training of the nutrition awareness
– Deliver Awareness sessions in good quality
– Pass the exams of MUAC officer and implementing the measurement
Qualifications Desirable:
- Nutrition – Science – Nursing – Training – People Oriented – Knows how to deal with different cultures – preferable past experience with refugees (student or post graduate)
- Demonstrated interest in working in community service
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
- Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office applications (especially Word and Excel).
