Areeg Hegazi has more than 20 years of experience in international development and humanitarian organizations in the Middle East in Egypt, Lebanon and Morocco and Iraq and in West Africa.
Areeg completed her Masters studies in the American University in Cairo specializing in professional development and an intensive fellowship program focused on gender studies in University College London.
Areeg has worked with various organizations including the World Bank, Save the Children, CARE , Oxfam, Heartland Alliance, Translators without Borders and the American University. Throughout her career, she developed key competencies in strategic planning and program design, cultivating new business opportunities, designing, starting up and managing various projects in the field of education, human rights for minority and excluded groups and gender. In addition, she has developed a variety of working relationships with governmental, national and international NGOs, and UN bodies in the Middle East.
