Sandra is currently working as the Women’s Rights Program Director based in Cairo, Egypt. She has joined CARE 10 years ago as an Initiatives Manager and had 3 years of prior experience in developing programs for street children.
She has an extensive knowledge and experience in gender and more specifically in gender-based violence (GBV). Sandra has managed various development projects in addition to developing programs tackling GBV among refugee population etc. Sandra has worked with grassroots organizations at local, subnational and national levels. Sandra holds a bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from L’Universite Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) and a Master’s Degree in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent- Canterbury (UK).
